Schneeweisser Tintling Snowy Inkcap Cap 1.5–3cm high, ovoid to conical at first, bell-shaped when expanded with split or rolled-back margin, white covered in chalk-white meal. Stem 30–90 x 4–7mm, white, slightly thickened at the cottony base. Smell none. Gills white, rapidly greying and finally black. Spore print black. Spores ellipsoid or slightly almond-shaped, 15–19 x 11–13um. Mealy covering of cap consisting of thin-walled, smooth globose calls. Habitat on cow or horse dung. Season summer to autumn. Occasional. Edibility unknown -avoid. Distribution, America and Europe.
